Gerard P. Walsh, Jr.
Mr. Walsh concentrates his practice on commercial and business litigation, often with a focus on matters related to real estate. He has both prosecuted and defended actions on behalf of a wide range of corporations and individuals in litigation involving contract disputes, employments suits, guaranty suits, mechanic lien actions, bankruptcy litigation and probate litigation. He has successfully closed numerous residential and commercial real estate transactions and has especially deep expertise in real estate foreclosures.
Gerard knows that his clients want an experienced lawyer who understand the client's business needs and who will aggressively protect their interests. His experience in the courtroom enables him to effectively use the pressures of litigation coupled with negotiation and interpersonal skills to quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively bring his clients the desired result.
Gerard received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998 and his Juris Doctorate in 2001 both from the University of Iowa. While in law school, he was a member of the Journal of Corporation Law and served as its Senior Associate Editor. Gerard is admitted to practice in Illinois at both the State and Federal levels. He is a member of the Chicago and Illinois Bar Associations.
